What is Polestar Astrology?

Polestar Astrology, also known as Purple Star Astrology / Zi Wei Dou Shou (紫微斗數), is a medieval Chinese system of astrology that uses birthdate and time to draw a map of the two components of our lives - our character and fate. Zi Wei Dou Shou is based on the simple and profound understanding that the cosmos is a whole and that all of its parts are connected. This allows us the ability to use the state of time and the position of stars at the moment of birth to calculate their continuing effects on our lives. More than an astrological system, Zi Wei Dou Shu interprets the state and nature of time in order to place our personal lives within the grand cosmic context.
